I think the problem is USSSA said the 220's were grandfathered in and implied that they would remain that way until they didn't pass compression. In all reality, they were just saying that so their corporate crony buddies at SIS and Rawlings could sell their remaining 220's. Otherwise, all of the retailers and bat companies would be stuck with inventory they couldn't sell and would have to take a loss on it. If you've been around for more than 10 years, you've seen this play out before and it was predictable it would happen again. USSSA is not the only sanctioning body that has done this to its customers and it will continue to happen. The answer to everything in life is follow the money.
Hilarious how money nat comes out saying about their standards----lol-lol.
they have no bat standards.
Only 2 bats made USA and USSSA.
The rest piggyback of their products.
Soon as 220's were done being produced it should have all been switched to 240. Crazy that a bunch of dudes who barely hit .500 with their 220s are crying this much. If you're good, you'll still be good with a 240. Stop crying because you can't use your cooked Freak 30s and Eastons.
Foltz said they are making an announcement tomm, regarding bat standards,
Mainly people that’ve never swung a 240 but have 6 Freak30s are mad about the change, there’s not a significant difference between the two
Besides, ya’ll aren’t hitting ProMs at the tourneys anyways
More 220 bats allowed during tournament play. 240 bats and 240 compression from now on “except leagues”
