They are in no particular order, some may be added or deleted as the season moves on.
Balls:
Any legal USSSA/GSL ball will be allowed. I will not be stocking balls this year.
No stadiums, GSL Nation or any other boot leg ball out there can be used. No pink softballs.
Here is a link for the approved ball manufactures list.
https://usssa.com/slowpitch/slowpitch-licensed-softball-bat-ball-manufacturers
-------
No uniform rule.
-------
Equalizer's.
In the event that we have to combine any divisions, the following will be the equalizer may be used:
The lower class has the option of 1 extra player that can play defense also. (male if co-ed) or 2extra HR's. If a 2 division lower class, they can use both.
Or a Run advantage to start- 2.5-3.5 runs
____________
Rosters:
Allowed 3 drops and 4 elites, or 2 drops and 5 elites/ etc.
This is for the entire year, you do not get an extra for Worlds. The only time you might see a whole team of elites is if a team is reclassed..
The only exception to the 4 elite players is if a Team wins a Team appeal, then they become all elite status. There has been only 1 in Indiana.
You can add and delete all year. The only time I will not release a player is if the player owes the team money confirmed by a paper trail.
A players PR starting the year is where they will be all year til August 31st. If a player who as a E pr and goes to a C team for the weekend, he will be C as long as he is on that team, when removed his PR should revert back to E in 24 hours. If he stays on that roster after Aug 31, he will become C.
Coaches, please remove any players not going to Worlds before Aug 31st, so in the case of you being moved up, the players removed do not get the bump tag.
-------
Coaches, the add former player is now finally working.
------
Appeals, we finished appeals Feb 1st. yes the natl office is behind. They should get caught up now since the Challenge Cup is almost over. Indiana does have 2 teams playing Sunday for Gold and The Mixed C placed 2nd. And for some of you crying on FB, Indiana did not even process your appeal. Tour appeal is handled by the last team/state you played on.
-------
Bat testing:
We will test every tournament in Central In.
Only 240 bats are allowed to be tested. If a player gets caught with a 220 bat regardless if we tested it or not, they will be called out in in the box, same for a non stickered bat.
1 bat per player will be tested..
------
Any player who is ejected in a game, must sit their next game. Exceptions: Using a 220 bat- Bat Flippers- or illegal substitute, etc.
------
Pitching,
You have to toe the rubber this year.
------
Qualifying for Worlds:
USSSA- Win a qualifier, or finish high enough in designated tournaments. Must play state. I may have 1-2 at large berths, they will be given based on tournaments played- Usssa only.
GSL- play in 3 events and play state.
We have Worlds in multiple locations for teams to choose from, or they can play multiple areas.
Vegas- we have that- Panama City, we have that also, Berliner as well, and the Gold Standard for all of Softball Worlds, Space Coast Fl.
You get that with basically 1 sanction fee and no atrocious player fees
------
I may allow out state teams in the State Tournament, I have to fill the whole weekend. very hard now to gets dates at premium facilities with the explosion of youth sports. The teams I do allow will be my choice. Probably not allow any in the Men's E.
Divisions that I allow out state teams will be designated Tri State.
------
Every tournament, is a dual qualifier- points for both USSSA and GSL. We will use the DHH for all tournaments except USSSA State.
------
The fee you always see online, is the online fee, cash at the park is cheaper. You do get 25 bonus points for paying online on usssa only.
------
If a tournament is shorted by weather, here is how a tie or bracket will be settled:
If we have a winner from the winners bracket , that will be the winner. If the loser from the winners bracket is sitting w/o an opponent at the time of cancellation, they get 2nd.
Any ties will be broken by:
Head to Head
Runs allowed
If team have played more games than others, etc- Runs allowed average.
Runs scored
If team have played more games than others, etc- Runs scored average.
Coin flip.
Then i will finish the scores as 1-0, if I do not finish the bracket, the points will not be awarded properly.
Refund Policy:
Based on a double elim.
.Refund policy
50% if you only get 1 game.... Regardless if its a 3gg pr 4gg.
Prize packages may be reduced if a tournament is shortened by weather and refunds have to be given, or moved to Sunday.

If a player is struggling with accepting his waivers, etc. Most likely an email issue. Have to use the email, name and bday that exactly matches what is in the system. Or possibly the player has multiple acts for some odd reason. Then you will have get your acts merged by emailing myself or helpdesk@usssa,com. Any player with multiple acts and is playing with the lower PR to bypass the drop rules, is playing illegal. Someone will catch it, always happens.believe it or not someone will rat you out on any rules violations.
The tournament director has the final decision on all illegal/ ineligible players. Teams caught may be subject to forfeiture of game or tournament.
------
Coaches, check your roster before each and any tournament to make sure all players have accepted their waivers/invites.
------
I will name some more Coaches for next years Challenge Cup divisions, after this weekend. Any Coach named early, it is basically theirs to lose or not accept. meaning if I have tournaments listed for a division and a Coach never plays, they probably will not Coach that division. It is a reward to coach and represent Team Indiana at the Prestigious Challenge Cup. All Coaches and players must be in good standing with USSSA/GSL and be approved by our Comm.
We are working on next years Uniforms now. I have heard a lot of chirping about this and that. If you want to send in a design that you feel will look good. Please do so. It has to be Indiana related. We will have a new Uniform supplier for next years team.
We have to get an Indiana 40 and over, not big around here, there was 30 or so teams at the Challenge Cup. So if anyone is interested, please reach out to me or Lacy.
-----
As I said,I will add some things during the year to these rules.
Good luck to all Indiana teams, even if you choose to not play with us.
Play the best and the Biggest
Play USSSA/GSL
