To be clear, I do agree we reallly should only be sending 1 team per division. We aren’t a big enough state to need to divide up the talent like that. If we truly want a chance at doing well it should be 1 team. Probably why our women’s teams do so well - they aren’t splitting. ![]() Willie Bender is definitely the Scott Routing coach. I know the website says Justin Lehman is, but Willie is the actual guy that runs things and was the coach of the IN North team…hence why the prime Amish players were on that team. ![]() You appear to be the clueless one. ![]() Get a fu$!ing clue! ![]() Scott Routings coach didn’t coach either team. Simple solution would be only send 1 team 🤦♂️ ![]() Scott Routing won both USSSA and GSL State, but can only coach one team. Clark Concrete got second in both states, who the #### else would they award it to? ![]() You are wrong. What state did Jared Clark win? ![]() I see all these comments on Facebook about "Challenge Cup" is buddy ball and "we didn't send the best team down there". First off....Are you all playing on a team full of randoms every season? I play on teams where I know more people than I don't, and by season's end I'm friends with the people I didn't know. If you're out here playing with a group of randoms every year, you're doing it wrong. Now to Challenge Cup...the coaches that win states are traditionally awarded the honor of being Challenge Cup coaches. They go through rosters and try to find the best players on each roster. Some can go and some can't, so they have to find others. So they might lean toward inviting people on their own roster, THAT WON STATE. Let that sink in, they pick their buddies.... FROM A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. And if no one from your team was chosen, well you might have crappy record. Every team plays buddy ball, every one of the good teams at least. ![]() It’s essentially an all-star game/tourney. USSSA didn’t invent it lol And who really cares? Challenge Cup isn’t what it use to be. One state should have 1 team per division and it should be paid for by the state, with roster control done by the directors and committee. No buddy ball BS… Send the best to play the best ![]() Money Nation trying the Copy Cat again. Trying again their version of the Challenge Cup. It failed last year. What do they not copy. |
