Below are are the rules and reminders for this weekends USSSA/GSL Spring State

The brackets have been posted on usssa.com for a week and yes I had to change a few times due to commitment issues.
This is one of the nicest dirt field complexes in the Midwest.
Please respect the park and pick up after yourself, slow pitch needs facilities like this, they hard to get with all the youth running at these facilities. This is the only date they have slow pitch in the prime season.
The gate fee is 5.00 , please have correct change, cash only.
Only service animals are allowed, on leashes.
This is a city park, no alcohol is allowed. You can consume all you want in the lot at your own risk.
Any weather issues before the tournament, i will notify you and post here. The forecast looks decent.
This a dual points tournament, just like everyone I run.

20-15-10 run rule
Winners bracket winner is home team for championship- flip for the if.
BYOB
Any legal USSSA or GSL ball, must be from an approved usssa ball provider.
No Stadiums or Demarini GSL Nation balls. No pink balls.
Have to usssa or GSL stamped legal balls.
We will have balls for sale, get with Mike Lacy, he is your tournament director for this event. Balls are getting scarce, I would find them if you need them.
When a ball is thrown in, that is the ball you use til it's hit out of play.
Substitutions must be announced..
Coaches, you only need to check in the office , if you have not paid or have any questions. You do need to get your players there early for bat testing. As the line can get pretty long.

Bat testing:
We will be testing in the front diamonds by the office.One bat per player. You must provide us a bat legal for usssa/gsl to be tested.

The coach who comes to the plate will be the Coach on record that my Umpire or my staff will relate to if any issues.

1 bat per player and only 1. If one fails you get 1 more chance. We only test a bat 1 time, 1 side etc.
Please do not berate my tester, that could be subject for removal from the tournament.
if you want to test another, come in the office after 12 noon, it will be 3.00 per bat.
All bats must have the designated sticker at all times, if you enter the box w/o a sticker and caught, an out will be declared and the bat must be re-tested.
All bats must be 240 stamped. Even if we test a 220 bat and you are caught in the box or hit with one, you will be declared out. It is your responsibility to provide our tester a legal bat to be tested.
Please remove all your old stickers. Use goo gone or peel them off.
If we test a bat that is what we consider, ridiculous, we may cut it or sand off the stamp, they are illegal to use in any USSSA/GSL play. Keep them in the trunk.
It is the players responsibility to retrieve a failed bat, once your team is eliminated.
We may spot check bats.

Pool play
2 hr's/ie/dhh Per Sex, Co-Ed is always per sex for HR's and Courtesy.
Brackets are straight class.
Rosters:
All players must be online and in eligible status for Men's /Co-Ed divisions.

There is zero tolerance for any Unsportsmanlike actions with anyone, anywhere in the park, especially the Umpires. We will not tolerate excessive arguing calls, etc.
Any player kicked out of a game for unsportsmanlike conduct, will sit their next game, that will move to the next tournament if necessary..
Anyone sitting out due to being ejected or sitting out from a previous tournament, can not be in the dug out, bleachers or anywhere near the field..

Women's
If a D team wins, they get 600 cash and the highest E team gets 300. If an E team wins they get 900 cash. D team has to win it all to get anything.
No pass downs on berths for this tournament.
co-ed
500 cash to both brackets.
Un paid berth to Worlds.
If you have not paid yet, we only take cash, venmo or paypal at the park... No checks or credit cards.
