hey bryan, i used to struggle with this, always right side and always up fairly high. 6 weeks is generally the deal with soft tissue to heal, you need to let it rest. i usually did this right at the end of a cycle so it was usually a sign i was overtraining a bit. i did this several times usually 2-4 weeks prior to a meet. i would lay off hard and drastically reduce what you are doing, light weights just to keep the movement sharp and hope for the best when meet day arrived...i usually lifted equipped so that helped a bit on meet day to keep it all packed together and tight.
rest, lost of water, sleep, good nutrition as well...therapy (like massage and heat) can also help but the main issue would be letting it heal right now if you are close to a meet. then go talk to rich to verify what you are doing and if you are overtraining it (likely)...
