So I decided to stay late and make sure those records were readable by our members since the USA Nat's is only 40 days away. I got through at 10:30 pm. The problem is I drank all kinds of energy drinks all afternoon in preparation for the drive Thurday night and I got up at 4:30 am on Thursday morning to get all my work done. Long story shorter, I couldn't sleep Thursday nigh so I was up and down until 4:00 am Friday morning, drove 720 miles straight through to Gallup, NM, ran the weigh-in, went to eat, came back to the room and posted all of the cards on the computer Friday night because I knew we would get slammed Saturday morning (which we did).
Then we ran about a 70+ lifter meet straight through and was finished at about 7:30 pm Saturday. I was exhausted. I mean REALLY exhusted. We actually ordered Wings in the Hotel room and I barely ate before I was out for the night.
When I got up Sunday morning I decided to check the forums, etc to make sure everything was.is OK and my e-mail. It looked like all hell had broken out on the forum. I decided to delete all the fighting and name calling and I made some posts as well. Big mistake on the postings when I was dead tired and have a "don't give a damned" attitude. I later went back and deleted my posts and everyone elses. I frankly wasn't in the mood for it and I sure as heck didn't appreciate all the "I'm better than you" posts. What sent me off was when I read that NASA's policy was .... BS, NASA's policy comes from me and me only. I don't regret saying what I said because it is a fact. It's my name on the organization and no one else, period.
Anyway, I wanted to apologize to those new NASA members who are new to the forum and NASA. We are NOT like this in real life. The problem with some people they let their pride and stupidy get in the way of common sence and when they see they are wrong by acting the way they do/did they again let their pride get in the way of them simply apologizing and letting it go.
I am apologing for some statements I made Sunday morning but I meant most of what I said I simply said it the wrong way.
As most people know I work my tail off all year long. I get 4 days off each year to rest and truly relax and enjoy myself. I started doing this 4 years ago and I look forward to it each and every year. BUT, for the past 4 years there have been some people who, for some reason, like to stir the sh*t pot when they fully know I am on my 4 day "vacation." I really do not appreciate this at all and I don't know whether these people even realize they do this, but they do. I make it a policy to never bother someone else when they are on vacations. I do not e-mail them, I don't call them and I sure as hell don't start sh*t storms by making stupid comments on the NASA forum implying it is NASA policy. It's called being respectfull.
I know who in NASA do not respect me. The funny thing about other people is they like to talk and trust me people talk to me all the time about what so-and-so said. I usually write it off as "venting" and people just being people. But when this happens time and time again and a pattern developes I see who these so called "friends" really are and what they are tring to do behind my back.
To sum all of this bs up neatly let me say this, every lifter in NASA is important to NASA. Every lifter regardless of what type of lifting they do is import to NASA. No specific type of lifting gets preference by anyone of importance in NASA. if they do this they are gone from NASA.
We provide records, events, divisions, etc in NASA including PL, PS. BP and PP. Equipped and Unequipped. If we didn't like any one of these events we wouldn't promote them or provide records for them.
When someone makes a comment on this forum or any forum, it is "their" opinion and their opinion only. When NASA has a policy statement to make, I will make it. Anything else is simply that person's "opinion."
