Great post Fred. Couldn't have said it better myself. But for those who still don't get it, think of this. WHO has done more to promote the sport? For the last 35 years, WHO brings quality meets to a location that you can drive to? WHO loads up the trailor and drives 1100 miles one way so you can lift? Why would anyone do something like that? 38 to 40 meets a year, are you freaking kidding me? If I drove that far, it would hair-lip the governor. Don't you think all this deserves a little loyalty in return? I know how most of these turds work. They will look at the calander and schedule one of the their meets on or near the same date as one of ours. You think I am full of crap, just look at when the High Scool Nationals roles around each year. Just a coincidence? Do you really thinks so? An over-inflated ego is the lifter's worst enemy. Remember, no matter how strong you are, there is ALWAYS someone else out there that can kick your butt. I can only speak for myself, but this is the best organization ever. Robbin and I have met some of the most wonderful people in the world lifting with NASA. We have great friends in almost every large city as well as many other smaller ones across the country. As for me, I will take being a part of something special over EGO any day of the week.
