Fired up about working out and new diet

Started my diet yesterday, really strict. Devin is my watch dog. I helped him when he started his diet and now that it has worked for him we are starting mine. I also start my workouts today. I plan on lifting in PS and Power Clean probably at the Masters Nationals if we have enough help in Dallas. I have never been this serious about working out since the 80's. I think I may have the spark back. I am really fired up by all the little snotty nosed, know-it-all's in the sport today (thanks to the internet and Facebook). By the way, most of these little twerps aren't in NASA so don't get your FB Panties in a wad and think I am referring to YOU! We have a full gym at our house and a full gym membership already but we also plan on doing some workouts at our meets as well. If anyone would like to show up, help with the meets and workout with us, great. But please, no thin skinned, pretend wanta be's as I can't handle it. Either you're a Powerlifter or you're not. Half assed squats won't be tolerated during our workouts.
Devin has lost close to 50 lbs so far so I am excited. We used him as the test subject and he has done a fantastic job of sticking with it. Now I am depending on him to be just as strict on me as I can see the prize. All I provided for Devin is what knowledge of nutrition I gained through college course work and practical experience I have about nutrition and I then suggested that he contact people who know something and not the internet screwballs who dominate FB. He did just that and we modified some things and changed a few more. As I always tell lifters, if you want to get better at something seek out those who really have the knowledge and track record and not some fly by night FB blabber ass who has been told something by someone else who is drugged to the gills and lifts in bs fed's. And these so called "experts" who have learned everything they spew from a text book which is usually written by someone who couldn't bp 200 lbs. There are textbooks and then there is the lab work. Textbooks provide "theory" and lab work either proves that "theory" or disspells it. Like the noted author "Barney Graves-PHD" once told me "Rich, you have 38 years of lab work to your credit list and you can dispute almost any theory." By the way, Barney attended 2 of my seminars and bought my tapes in preparation for his 2 books. The unfortunate fact for most of the people with these "theories" is that they lack the test subjects, in mass quantity, to achieve accurate findings. It's all about sorting through the bs these days.
