We are consulting with various NASA members with a long history in the sport for their recommendations for the Over All (lifetime achievement award) of the Year for 2014. This elite panel has been very active the past year in NASA and have attended a large number of National events over the past 2-3 years plus they are all either past winners, Hall of Fame members or lifetime NASA lifters.
This change has been implemented simply because of all the new changes in NASA and the huge influx of new lifters in NASA over the past 3 years.
The Banquet will be as usual on Saturday night, February 14th, during the Natural Nationals in Oklahoma City, OK.
We will be streamlining the awards this year and consolidating several classes to make them more competitive.
The Over All Athlete Award (lifetime achievement award) this year will again be a very tough decision to make and we have actually been working on this for the entire year. The lifters of the year in each event will also be very difficult to select this year because of so many outstanding new lifters who have lifted. I will post more about the selection process and the Banquet next week.
