It was awesome meeting you. You carried yourself well in the meet and you are a definite asset to NASA.
From an old man's perspective, I think you have it correct.
Don't lose weight for the meet. Lift where you are.
And something to help with injury that I've learned the hard way as a Masters 2 lifter - train with 2 or 3 sets of 5 on the powerlifts once a week. You need more time to recoup. And never handle over 90% max during your workouts. Leave it on the platform - not the gym.
Also, don't take advice from someone who isn't a masters lifter. Younguns' recoup faster and that changes everything. And...from my perspective - youth is wasted on the young.
