It was L5 Herniated bulging disc.
I had no fusion, bolts or plates.
As I recall that was the only area I had a problem. Did not say anything about other disc, arthritis, I am sure I have arthritis in many part of my body now.
Yours sounds more extensive.
Do what you need to do to get it fixed and take the time to rest and let it heal. I know that part will drive you crazy. Move what ever part of your body you can (with out weights, walk to keep moving add what you can when you can, but above all DON'T rush it.
IF benching is all you can do so be it, you can always give back to lifting by Judging and coaching.
