rear engine plate removal
Posted by robin on 10/9/2011, 6:04 pm
Looking to remove gearbox inner cover to fit new neutral light switch on a 1982 T140ES. Can anybody tell me what the brake lever pivot bush/nut 83-7163 threads into, is it the engine plate itself in which case I reckon just by undoing the brake pedal spindle nut I should be able to get the plate off? Or does it thread into something else, requiring more disassembly to remove the plate? (PS. Have decided to just rebuild now after my sprag clutch problem as I was able to loctite the intermediate bush in place today and the pinions all mesh well.) Cheers.
