Some queries please for things that either weren't there or I don't remember.
1. Behind the kickstart ratchet spring the parts book shows a washer between the spring and the gearbox mainshaft bearing. This wasn't there when I took this apart and I can't see that there is room for one within the ratchet spacing - should this be there?
2. I have a washer that looks like it should be between the primary chain crank sprocket and the main bearing.I have only dropped this in place but there is a few degrees of play between the sprocket and the crank (I had a broken crank near this point so it was falling apart when I opened it - now has a replacement crank) Is the play normal probably only 2 or 3 degrees (very difficult to measure) but I can't see this tightening up. Can I have some opinions please?
3. Finally for now, I can't remember if there was an O-ring behind the clutch where the gearchange cross shaft goes through the left hand crankcase. This isn't shown in the parts book either. The previous owner certainly had this apart and I can't see what was stopping the oil finding it's way from primary chaincase along the cross shaft and into the outer gear cover.
Your opinions gratefully received.
Thank you and Happy New Year!!
