T140 TR7 1979 brake master removal
Posted by Katy on 3/5/2013, 7:03 pm
Just getting the master cylinder off the bike is turning into a 3 ring circus for me. My 1979 TR7 export seems to have had replacement bracket fitted and the bolts which hold the master don't fit because the head hits the inside of the footrest part of the frame. Pervious owner has ground the bolt head down to a sliver! I have got the spring off the lever arm, the shaft nut off, obviously got the caliper and filler away. Can I remove the rear brake lever? It seems to be on a square tapered shaft and is reluctant to move. With the rear lever there I can't get to the bolt head holding the whole lever assembly onto the frame. Help
