Stainless retro style T140 V rear fenders 10% discount to Notice Board users this week!
Some years past I fitted the Boyer, very pleased with the system.
However I have found that on about 70 mile runs generally the longest distance I ride ) I find the battery (new quality battery) tends to go some what flat.
If I turn off the dipped beam and ride with the pilot light on all seems good, and the battery seems to charge and hold it charge
I have the original 12 volt coils fitted.
I am told by an electrically minded friend that I should change the coils to 6 volt.
The 12 volt coils draw too much current.
The bike has a solid state reg. and rectifier fitted along with a 3 phase stator.
Most grateful for any help and advice.
Thank you.
p.s. I like to ride with main dipped beam on seems safer.
