My name, posted 12/4/07 seems to say I have a Cat 22 starter. I forgot even posting this- I might have been trying to find if anyone has a 22 with starter. Sorry for confusion. My 22 has a 3 bolt plate on the left side opening to the flywheel housing and there's nothing in there in the way of teeth to engage. Since the plate was there, I figured it must have been designed for an electric start option. I have found nothing to prove this is true. If some one knows different, I promise to check back before 13 more years pass if you deposit some info here. God bless you all who still breathe since my ancient note was wrote.
