Take Nothing For Granted
On surf beaches its best to use a stand and attach burley out on low tide and allow the tide to push it around, then get the stand on low again.
On shingle beaches, the old rope on a rod stand and chuck her in, or again, throwing them out, dices up bits of goodness. calm weather and offshore conditions are best, just watch the slick go!
Some fish are better suited to burley, like ours brough in allot of bait and kahawai, at the right time of year it would have worked well on kingfish too. It works well in little bays when targeting moki and other fish where you are not casting 150 metres past it making the burly pointless. Better suited to pelagic species
