I dont go that far along. I usually fish between the groyne (rocks going out of the sea)and the end of the track. Alternately there are a few shellfish beds along that stretch of beach so look for collections of tuatua or mussell shell on the stones and fish there. East Clive is a fickle beach but when there about it can be quite good fishing. Or it can be as dead as a door knob. You just nevr know
