Ok Hanglers not biting but what do you consider a HUGE kahawai in your area.
Here in Hawkes Bay I reckon that average would be about 1.5kgs, big would be 3 kgs and huge would be 5kgs +.
I was lucky enough to be involved (guide) with the capture of two really big (new catagory....Monsters) kahawai on the ledges of the far north. These were 19 1/2 lb and 23lb. Awesome fish and a bit bigger than we see here.
How do the kahawai stack up in your area.?
