You think the GCSB would take any notice of what the public wants anyway?
They will spy on whomever they like whether its 'legal' or not.
That of course is the nature of spying, its covert and the victims don't know....
The bill is only there to protect them should they get caught out.

They will continue to spy on anyone they deem worthy (as they have probably already been doing for years) regardless of the outcome of some political vote.
