Seems to be a month early.

Has been quite a few snapper caught off the beach strangely.

Sholies are getting caught at Nuhaka, and not just the odd one, try 2-3 each. Prior to every east/southeast change.

As for the bigger fulla's. whakaki over the past 14 days has thrown out several big snapper reported to 28lb.

Snapper rock a kingfish was caught last week of july! 8-9kg. Most visitors are getting bugger all, the odd token gurnard, and plenty of cuta.

Pick of the beaches though, between waihua and mohaka, edge of the foul.

Probably one of the best starts in a while for snapper offshore for boats. Mahia is producing plenty, as is the local side in close over the foul
