Flattened off nicely tonight and glassed off. Got a good feed of snappers. Its fishing really well at the moment. Got a fish every cast from about 9pm till I left just before 1am.

Had a nice 5-6k snapper at my feet till a cheep and nasty imitation geni clip I had borrowed bent out and released it. Didn't take my waders ether, im still bloody shivering, although the water was warm.

Worth a visit at the moment, especially the top end when its flat enough. There are some huge tuatua's. Most ive seen in years. Huge kahawai work ups too.

There a good 4m + swell smashing into mahia on the wairoa side, look impressive! Be worth a fish when it settles down
