Im hard on my gear and still have alot of reels to try out, if you look after them carp fishing or surfcasting should be fine.

Akois 656 I think another great reel needs and deserves more loving
Daiwa windcast BR yet to prove it's self but all good so far
6500b awesome reel for the rocks doesn't like the sand so much but is my oldest and most trusted reel.
