Almost popped in there on the way back from Whakaki Kevy. Theres still some outstanding fishing to be had in the Bay at the mo. Skipjack tuna caught off the beach at Mahia beach thursday, a 15.8 kg snapper caught via kontiki at whakaki wed, the workups along whakaki to blacks were impressive to say the least with skippies jumping a couple of hundy meters from the shore. Gurnard have made a presence at last and some good size ones too. Spoilt for choice really.
