Snapperd, I have been using the Gemini 'Splash Down' bait clips for well over a year, up until now I have not had one failure due to premature release. These are available from Tackle Tactics and are very reasonably priced for the reliability of the product. As a very valid extra, they are very uncomplicated to load with the baited hook and use.

I have also been giving the new 'oval pulley rig beads' a trial, available from this site. I have only had a few trips to the beach because of the poor weather but up until now they have worked extremely well.
