I think you are right Neil, I am no expert on Facebook but it appears on who posts the event because Mark created the event only his friends get invited. If yoey as the nzacnc administrator had posted/created the event he could have invited the entire member group list. There's no problem with anti spamming done this way. Still clear as mud but slowly learning.
