Also just coming on the market now is a new 8 carrier braid from Spiderwire,called Fluoro braid.
I gave up on braid for the surf after several tries. Just a personal thing. It certainly cast well and made a small snapper seem like a big one.
The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
