Cant believe how much better I fared in BOP as opposed to Hawkes Bay last weekend. 6lbs of whitebait in Pukehina River, 3 Snaps @ Matata plus Khawhai.
As far as whitebait go, dairy farmers fence streams as per Fontera dictates,so a lot of stream side weed and foliage growth, therefore spawning habitat, but why the consistent Snapper catches etc all year round and not in sporadic HB?
