Thanks for the encouraging messages guys he is already thinking about the next trip out surfcasting, when I was his age I had no one around to teach me so I just used to go out and give it a go anyway wasn't till I started watching early fishing videos from folks like geoff thomas and bill hohepa and also reading NZFN articles and one book I bought on LBG fishing which from memory was written by Gary (I loaned that book out to a so called mate and never got it back) that I really started to catch fish.
