I recently had a thread running on purchasing a rod, or in my case two. I had a brand in mind but that sale fell through as the rods weren't in the country ... I then phoned Phill.

Phill had read my expectations and his recommendation was a Diawa Sensor, not the cheapest of rods but the spec's looked good. I ordered two and the rods were delivered this morning. On examination they certainly seem to be all I could wish for and now I wait for the test on the beach when firmly attached to a nice 20 pound plus ray.

The reason I am making this posts is to thank Phill for his 'hands on' advice. I now know what he told me wasn't sales talk, it was his experience coming through. Secondly, I wish to mention the excellent service I have always received from Tackle Tactics. The time taken between sending an order and having the goods delivered is very fast indeed and this makes dealing with the site's host a real pleasure.

Only one complaint: isn't it sad when you have to buy your own Christmas present?
