Was at Kiritehere today and saw so much unsafe crap from guys on a jet ski and a Jet boat, the guy on the jet ski was taking a kid out to deep water fishing with no life jacket on the kid, the guy in the jet boat was joyriding in the surf till he got his boat swamped and stalled it two guys coming in decided to try and help the guy in the jetboat end result the helpers got done over by a wave and got their boat capsized for them lost their fish and fishing gear only ones I saw today that had the brains to wear a life jacket are the ones who ended up in the drink. The missus recovered their bait board, burley bag and a couple of their fish and returned them to the guys and they sent her away with a tarakihi for her returning some of their lost gear. the guys who tried to help were very lucky to get their boat back. Bloody good reminder to stay safe and respect the water. I was just glad that no one got killed from acts of stupidity today
