Buller. New Zealand, that's on the West Coast of the " South Island lads. New Zealands best kept secret. Obviously home of the Snapper and many other species. The fishing for snapper has improved dramatically over the years. Since the quota was lowered in Golden Bay and other waters at the top of the South Island. Guess that needs to happen in Hawkes Bay, and then your waters and fishing will follow suit. Anyway lads eat your hearts out.
Ron Prestage, my good mate, might tell us the story of how he kinda picked the wrong place to fish. (For the big Snapper.) But he still did pretty well as the results show. It is 42 Kilometers from Westport, to the Northern Boundary of the Comp. All at my back door. Maybe its time for me to get back into Surfcasting. I bet there were quite a few other snapper caught, but not weighed as when the fisher person arrived at the Weigh Station. (Seddonville Hotel), they would see from the leader board, that theirs was too small. This competition runs from Boxing Day 2015 to the 6th January 2016.
Cheers Hardy aka " Trev"
Time to go fishing again 1
