Hey all, im semi new to this area i live in waimate, down from up north (snapper born and bred). Always been in to fishing of some sort or another. I got the chance to go out on a charter off moeraki few days ago. An have decided to try target blue cod and jocks. Up around waimate i havent herd of them being caught.

Is there anyone on here that has had any success with surfcasting for these two species? moeraki has been mentioned to me in passing id like to know a little more about the area. ie good bad and ugly spots. and also when blues an jocks are around close in.
