The wind dropped and the sea was flat. All in all the competition was very successful. In the open section we had 155 entries, 44 Ladies and 44 Juniors. 296 rods. 14 Moki weighed in, 19 Kahawai but no blue cod were weighed in. Lindsey Stalker from Masterton won the Bottle-O Moki competition with a Moki of 4.2kg, Neil MacKay also from Masterton second with a Moki 3.950kg and Elliot Hardie from Feilding with a Moki of 3.240kg.
The Ladies section had first equal, that went to Debbie Anderson and Darlene Nix both weighed in a Moki 1.730kg and Helena Hendra third with a kahawai 2.860kg. Juniors section was won by Byron Harmon Moki 1.320kg, 2nd Carlos Rewai Kahawai 1.730kg. Kahawai section was won by Helena Hendra 2.86kg, 2nd Dion Pene 2.020kg and Chelyn Wolfsbauer 1.990kg.
