Ok, so I'm still yet to catch Kingi but I think a CD XD Surf might be worth a look at if you can find one. I have a couple of 13foot rods. I use them mostly for catching snapper out of rocky s%@t. I've pulled good sized eagle rays out of the rocks with them too.
They have a nice cushioning tip.

From memory I think the Sensor Surf is quite soft.
