I have a couple of CD Grafsurf 12 footers.
Am thinking of using one with a Akios 651 overhead.
May replace the guides with a lower type as the rod is set up with highish guides for eggbeater reels.
I know when the guides are placed on the blank during rod manufacture they are purportedly laid along the "spine" of the blank??
My question is : Do the guides for overhead reels use the same location for eggbeaters or are they reversed 180 degrees( meaning are they placed on the opposite side of the blank??)
I can turn the winch fitting around if I have to.
