    Because I haven't been out for a fair while along there I'd suggest you just find the deepest water you can closest to the shore and fish there.
    #2 carpark, just west of Murphy's Motorcamp comes to mind.
    Straight out in front of the Matata pub could also be ok... at least if it isn't, it's not too far for a beer afterwards.
    I'm not sure if the access for the Tarawera is improved yet, but if it is, that could be ok too... as long as there's no weed about.
    If ya walk in anywhere try to find tuatua shells in large concentrations on the shore... fish in front of them.Find a few live ones and stick them on ya hook with a little bit of pilly..

    It's high tide about 12.30pm tomorrow and looks like it's gonna be pretty wet tho.Low is just before 7pm... could be better chances then actually.The straights always fishes better at night.

    Anchovies, half pillies, fresh kahawai and squid are all good bait for this time of year.
    Raw prawns or cray if ya want lemons and snaps..
