Good tip for preserving crabs in the freezer...
Bring home the seawater with the crabs and after clipping their legs off and cracking their shell slightly, freeze the crabs in pairs in a small containers (yoghurt pots are pretty good)just big enough to fit them and cover with the seawater. Stand the pots on an oven tray in the freezer, Freeze. Knock them out of the pots after and stick them in a ziplock bag and remove as much air as poss. Freeflow crabs are then totally filled with frozen seawater... no freezer burn as no air can get at/in them... and that's the trick.
If that doesn't work, raw frozen Vannemei prawns are the answer!! And as I said somewhere before... you can cook and eat what ya don't use as bait!Yummy!
