Fished the other night with Kane, landed 4 good lemons all under the 6kg mark all were released. So i decided to try for my first pin last night at a spot that no one had tryed for a while.Picked up my freind by 6 30pm,and i had my lines in the water by 7pm. 7 30 a good strike,15minutes later lost my first lemon estamated at 10 to 12kg.15minutes later another hook up,i landed this one wieghed in just under the 6kg mark, i thought bugger not a pin so released it.Over the next 4 hours i landed 5 more lemons all over 5kg,still no pin.I cast my last bait just before midnight and said to my freind thats it lets pack up tomorrows another day, just as i said that my Shimano bait runner made that sound we all love to hear,YAHOO it was all on 10minutes later had my first ever pin fish at my feet if anyone had seen me they would of thought 'look santas pissed and he is doing an Irish jig on our beach'.Weighed it with Kane this morning at 8.745kg.I know no why every one gets excited about landing a good fish, there is still abig grin on my face,The sea was dead flat,no wind, clear skys,it was a great night, crayfish for bait.Heres hoping for a big snapper this season.Looking forward to the Brassmonkey this Sunday.
