After a couple of lemon picking trips with small results it was off to Bayview for another shot in the swell. Kane and the king were there along with James when I arrived about 9pm. Out went the lines and ten minutes later I have a bite. A bit of action on the line, a hesitation in the dip as a swell crashed through then the landing of a fat (real fat) red cod. I weighed him later to set a bench mark for Rhyming Roger to aspire to. 1.65kgs. Next bait went to a big bender that only stayed on half way home. Then a bait went off and ln was solidly hooked up on a big lemon.
A really neat fight with a couple of 50m runs and some solid bullying in the dip. Warwick went down and tailed him out for me. We officcialy weighed it for the club at 8.65kgs then released it. My first pin for the year. It was sweet.
