Ive hooked a kingi off flat rock years back livebaiting big herrings under a float. We packed out about 10kgs of berley and you wouldnt believe it, not a single kahawai in sight. And for several trips only 1 kingi hookup and he cleaned me out on the foul in 3 seconds flat. If I was to go there again I think I wouls fish softbaits off there.
