Yep Google Earth is a very handy tool indeed. This is North Beach, Westport. The Satelite pass at different tides when the pic was taken creates some unusual effects. As in this pic, and Chads one of Herbertville. I have found Google earth very handy for working out Kite Fishing places in different wind directions. I check the current wind direction, then rotate the google compass to get the pic aligned correctly. Then using the ruler tool plot where I can get offshore. All done just sitting in my chair.
