    Still waiting.... Archived Message

The cherry tree isn't letting it's blossoms out, altho the green buds are about 8mm long now!
So it can't be far off for spring snaps in the Bay of Pinky. Even though they're very rarely the size of HB's snaps we get far more and way more often... which is much better in my opinion.

I was planning a Saturday outing, but yup, Fate decided no, it's not to be, with the weather turning unfavourable.

Strewth! We haven't had much of a chance at all so far eh? And apparently we're going to be short on the westerlies this season as well, so maybe concentrating on the West Coast beaches a bit more will make sense?
I reckon everything happens for a reason and the only logical one I can see is, fishing is waiting till the 8/9th... which just happens to be Roto's opening weekend....

Today would probably be the best opportunity to go for a fish as tomorrow it's supposed to get worse as the day wears on.
Just taking a dekko at the beach... pancakes yet again today... looks like tiny/nothing swells from N/NE quarter and wind from WSW.
Water is looking particularly cold and grey, but could bring gurnard, barras or just little kahawais and biteys.Oh, what an exciting prospect...NOT!!

I might just tidy up the workshop this weekend seeing as the important stuff's now been held up.
