I think it comes down to the 'old hunter and gather' in us. I remember even as a youngster going off to galas and the sort and trying to win a frozen chicken on the wheel. It hasn't changed, I still love sneaking off in the morning before the kids and mum get up and then arriving home to a rush of kids seeing what I caught. Nothing better than pulling out a couple of freshly caught Snapper and seeing the grin on the faces of the kids and getting the "poo you stick, and I hope you're going clean that sh*t up from the missus". Price Less. Even better when I take the young fulla out and give him the buzz of bringing a feed home. That's what it's about for me.
