HiThe other day saw chicken hearts in the supermarket.
Just seemed the right size for a hook and looked fairly tuff. While I was standing there looking at them, the brain went into overdrive. Being a heart they have cavities inside and little veins sticking up. Now if I got hold of a hypodermic syringe, I could fill the cavities (ventricles with fish oil and it would slowly seep out the cut off veins, a self berleying bait.
Problem no one: Can one buy a hypodermic from the chemist or have the druggies buggered that one up.
Problem No Two. If it works does the fish catch campylobacter.
No laughing, when we were kids fishing off the Dunedin wharf we used meat for bait. Caught Trevally, leatherjackets, dogfish etc.
Wot say you fish, fancy a chicken heart. Hey if it works we may even see gulp hearts. And if it doesnt $2.30 wasted, and they freeflow well in the freezer.
Will report back. Im only half mad you know.
Cheers Trev
