pop'd out tonight for a little dabble tonight, with the sea being as shite as it is!! decided to try another species. fished from 5ish till 6.30 and had 5 or 6 big hits and landed a nice parore around 2.3kg and lost alot of gear, man they can scrap! a friend was with me and he hooked his first ever parore on 20lb line which peeled him out and eventually broke him off!! he was buzzing! it was a much bigger fish than mine too ..............it was dead when we arrived but a good amount of burley brought them in in droves, all where on mussels .........
this is the kind off topic i usally dont post on tackle tactics BUT they are great fun, and is something the whole family can do without stress or getting wet. if you want to give em a go use a running rig with a 1once sinker, a half meter trace and a 1/0 kirby or long shank hook with mussel or weed as bait, half a mussel on a hook is plenty!,
i dont post things like this or tell many people purely because i would hate to see the estuary get raped, so if ya catch a few only keep what ya need! and let the rest go. i only ever take 1 if that. ............
they have been there in good numbers lately, pandora ( bridges) so good luck, remember that pin size is 1.5kg
cheers
