Snapper 1000 update Archived Message Posted by Gannet on 27/9/2007, 7:52 pm Hello everybody, Time for an update on the snapper 1000 to be held in Whakatane on the 13th of october. Last night we held a metting and we have decided due to a number of clubs having trouble getting enteries in on time to extend the cut off date. All enteries must now be in by Friday the 12th of October. $15 per rod and $5 per member for the team section. Team is 2 -4 persons. 1st prize is $1,000 and Team is $400. Lucky draw prize is the latest Daiwa Saltiga surf 6000 valued at $900 and a Daiwa rod to mount it on. There will be a late registration on the day but will only be open until fishing commences at 3.00PM and is $5 extra. We dont want anybody to be disappointed and not fish this great tournament so please see your club secretary now and come to the Bay of Pinkies. The venue is the Thornton Beach Holiday park and representatives from Whakatane Hunting & Fishing, Daiwa and a Great Host will be in attendance.
