Left about 8.45ish just before dark. I was quite surprised I didnt hook into a gurnard, the spot I was in was ok and one of the locals picked up a couple in the morning there. But the Kahawhai were there in numbers. Maybe the greedy buggas wouldnt let the bottom feeders get a look in.It was still a lot of fun hauling them in and then letting them go (apart from one ).
