We had 127 Rods on the beach and only 11 weighable Kahawai weighed, and four of them were weighed by Kids under the age of 9 years. Heaviest Kahawai was 1.86kg by a regular to our comps Rongo Knight. He fishes each year but this is the first for him to hit the prizes, so I was stoked for him. Great day though, all the clubbies done a fantastic job and all so positively. Makes it all so worthwhile when things run smoothly and to plan. Our next event is our Twilight Competition which starts this Tuesday coming from 6-8pm. We have opened the boundaries up to include Makorori so that should make it more interesting.
