    I raided one of Hardy's spots a few weeks back, it was down a rough track, surrounded by thick Westcoast bush. Gentle swell and little wind, just before dark I got my rods out. Nothing, expect rain and more rain. I might have gotten a tiny Red Cod and Doggie but I am trying to forget them. I only have two explanations, either Hardy has caught all the big Westport Line Wreckers, Karamea Crashers, Buller Bulls, Hokitia Horses or Haast Haulers without telling any of us or the Westcoast does not deserve its reputation as a under utilised fishing resource.




    I would let Hardy tell you where I am fishng , plus notice the correct use of rod holders. Sorry bout the crap photo quality, low light, rain and a poor quality cellphone camera rarely produces good photos.
